Gary D. Andorka
Mr. Andorka has been an associate in our Columbus office where he practices mainly in the areas of criminal and traffic defense, civil litigation, law enforcement, civil rights litigation, and juvenile law.
Mr. Andorka has defended criminal and traffic cases involving allegations of, among other things, felonious assault, domestic violence, drug possession, theft, vehicular homicide, hit-skip, drag racing, and drunk driving. He also has litigated in a number of areas including, but not limited to, police misconduct and civil rights issues under 42 U.S.C.; 1983 in state and federal court. Mr. Andorka also serves as the Director of Pre-Paid Legal Services' Law Officers' Legal Plan.
Mr. Andorka is a former Assistant Franklin County Public Defender and a former Assistant Ohio Attorney general in the Federal Litigation/Criminal Justice/Correction Litigation Section. As an Assistant Attorney General, he defended law and enforcement officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in 42 U.S.C.; 1983 litigation. Additionally, he worked in conjunction with local prosecuting attorneys thoughout Ohio in defending wrongful imprisonment actions. He has also effectively briefed and argued cased before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Ohio.
