Emery J. Leuchtag
Mr. Leuchtag practices in our Columbus office in the areas of personal injury litigation, insurance, casualty litigation, medical malpractice, and representation of various health professionals before the State Licensing Boards and in bankruptcy. Mr. Leuchtag has not only prosecuted cases of this nature, but has defended them as well.
Mr. Leuchtag graduated from the University of Bologna, School of Medicine with a degree in medicine and surgery in 1979. He graduated from the University of Akron, School of Law in 1983 and entered the private practice of law in the above areas between 1983 and 1986. Subsequently, he became the litigation manager of the Beacon American Insurance Company. Following that, he joined Gallagher, Sharp, Fulton and Norman in Cleveland, Ohio and subsequently joined the Maguire & Schneider law firm in 1997.
Mr. Leuchtag has lectured at the University Of Akron School Of Law on medical legal issues in family law and has served as a lecturer for the Hanover Group of Insurance Companies with specific focus on medical legal issues and good faith claims handling. He has been a sponsor and participant in seminars for good faith claim's practices and has offered lectures on medical ethics and euthanasia. Mr. Leuchtag is a member of the Federal Bar Association and the Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys.
