Mr. Hughes represents small, medium, and Fortune 500 companies in commercial contracts for transactions in goods, services, technology licenses, construction, insurance, risk loss, distribution, franchise, real estate leases and transactions, trademarks, copyrights, and employment law. He also represents both buyers and sellers in asset and stock transactions of entire businesses.
Mr. Hughes has been associated with Maguire & Schneider, L.L.P. since 2003 assisting clients in the above areas of law, in addition to representing employees and employers in discrimination claims and consumers. He assists organizations in purchasing and supply management policies, procedures and dispute resolution. Mr. Hughes has served as an arbitrator in commercial, construction, and environmental contract cases.
Mr. Hughes has presented more than three hundred one and two day legal seminars for major corporations on sales and purchasing law, including: agency law, the Uniform Commercial Code, technology agreements, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, international transactions, and requests for quotations and contract formation. He is Adjunct Professor at Cleveland State University teaching upper division and graduate level courses on Negotiation skills and related topics.
