Mr. Erlenbach is a senior attorney in the Columbus office where he practices in the areas of criminal, traffic, workers’ compensation and personal injury. Mr. Erlenbach is the head of the criminal, traffic and workers’ compensation sections of the firm.
For over 35 years, Mr. Erlenbach has defended thousands of clients charged with felonies, misdemeanors and traffic offenses. He has tried over 250 felony jury trials, and has been involved in 17 death penalty murder cases in Franklin County. During the 1980′s and 1990′s, Mr. Erlenbach took workers’ compensation hearings for over 44 different workers’ compensation attorneys located in the northern part of Ohio. He makes weekly appearances now at the Industrial Commission and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and also at administrative hearings at the Ohio Liquor Commission.
Mr. Erlenbach, from 1964 to 1972, was in the Columbus City Prosecutor’s Office and was the chief prosecutor for the City of Columbus. During that period of time, he was in court daily prosecuting misdemeanors in Franklin County and handling preliminary hearings for felonies. Before joining the Columbus City Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Erlenbach practiced with a law firm in Columbus which specialized in workers’ compensation and personal injury.
After leaving the City Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Erlenbach was in private practice in Columbus, Ohio with his own law firm and specialized in the defense of criminal cases, traffic cases, and workers’ compensation hearings. He also tried several personal injury cases during this time.
Mr. Erlenbach, in 1997, became associated with this firm, handling cases again in the same fields of practice and directing other trial lawyers in the same field. Mr. Erlenbach was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1960 and to the U.S. District Court – Southern District of Ohio in 1963.
